Hello Power Women and welcome to another episode with me. I'm gonna be the only one talking today, but I love Sharing with you what I am teaching learning growing helping clients with all of the above all the time because
Podcasts are my favorite thing to listen to. So sharing podcasts myself is such a abundant thing in my life. I receive so much in podcasts and I hope to give so much in podcasts. So I hope that all of these episodes are so helpful to you and that they help you connect again with who you are as a power woman and the power that you have within remembering it and using it, finding ways to be the power woman and to live and act as the power woman you are to create
everything you are wanting to in life and business. And I don't know about you, but May has always got so much going on and I am loving it. And there's so much going on in my own business. Has nothing to do with the kids stuff and end of school going on because that's happening too. But I'm also finishing up the work I'm doing on the Power Woman book that is supposed to be published.
The end of May, if not beginning of June, we're planning a party, a launch party in June for that. Getting the final stories in, formatting done, editing, contributing my own stories and writing those, editing those. It's just such a fun, beautiful process. And I share all of that, so hopefully whatever you have going on in your life, in your business, you know that you're not alone. Power Women have plenty going on and we know how to do it. We know how to keep showing up, making our power moves and enjoying it. But this brings me to a great point I wanted to talk about today because it's been coming up a lot in sessions and as I've been talking with people.
And it is the triangle or trifecta, which is one of my favorite words of power in your business. And this is so important for every power woman to know.
because often it is believed in business to grow in your business you have to get better at your business. You need to learn how to market. You have to have a good website. You have to be good at sales. You have to master all of those things. And it's not untrue that you need those parts of learning a business. I remember when I first started my business I thought...
that people would just come to me because life coaching is so amazing and transformational. If I just said, I'm a life coach, I would be fully booked all the time. And you do have to learn how to market and sell and create an offer and know how to price it. And all of these things are so important in running a business, but it is a corner in the triangle or trifecta.
and it is not the only part of a business because you also have to have a skill or product that you are selling and being willing to do work on that and develop it and make it better. And I mostly work with service based businesses. So what is your skill for me? It's coaching. And I thought, well, I certify and then I'm a coach and then I'm done. And that has been anything but the case as I have.
been a coach and learned how to coach and am now actually teaching and certifying people to coach and having to articulate it and learn how to teach it takes it to a whole nother level. I am seeing that you are never done getting good at your skill and you always want to be investing in that. And then at the top of the triangle or trifecta is you, your own self.
and where you are emotionally, mentally, physically, you have to be okay to be able to run this business, especially as you are getting started and you are doing a lot of the work. You are a lot of the marketing itself and the skill itself, the trade of what you do. If you are not okay, how can you show up in those other two? And this...
can sound maybe a little mushy or woo-woo like you're the most important part of your business but I've said it for a long time you are the heart of your business you are what you're marketing you are the trade and skill that you're doing so if you're not okay how can it ever work for you to show up and do these other things but they all do need attention and so giving attention to all three is important and
I want to start with first how to take care of yourself because that is again the most important. So looking at it, I think there is another triangle within there. I love triangles. You'll see it all over in my branding and logos and it is actually a feminine symbol. No coincidence, of course. And the triangle within taking care of yourself is
your physical health, your mental health, and your emotional health. And all three of those need time and attention too. So I love to look check and like how am I taking care of myself emotionally, physically, and mentally. So my favorite thing for...
mentally is meditation and you'll help me talk about meditation more and more. I have been studying it, working on it, mastering it, which means I'm never done and it's been so helpful for me. I am an over thinker and if you're an over thinker too, I hope this is helpful for you because overthinking â
is not something we are stuck in. I used to think it was that there's nothing I could do about it. It's just how I am. But meditation was actually really hard for me at first because I could not help my brain stop thinking. And so learning to meditate and slow down, get into your body, lessen your head is so helpful for your mental health. Also learning mindset work.
You know, I'm a life coach. I've trained in mindset work. I have found so much power in seeing how our thoughts do create a lot of our results and that that is our power. When we think that our circumstances outside of us are creating all our results, it is so empowering to learn how to see our thoughts are creating our results and being aware of our thoughts. What are we believing that isn't true, that we don't have to believe that isn't serving us?
and having coaching and journaling and meditations to help us be aware of our mind and be at our best in our power. Does it mean I am working on my thoughts all day every day? No, of course not. But I do take time for it every day and I have time for it. I prioritize it because knowing what we're thinking and how we're interpreting the world, what we're choosing to believe matters so much.
Also our physical health. I love exercising and I love running even though I'm not good at it. It feels so good for me and that's where it kind of does cross over because I think running and walking especially in nature are mostly for my emotional and mental health, but it has physical so right like I find something that actually does all three of the points of this triangle
But I love weightlifting too and I feel like as I build my body and muscle to be stronger, it helps my whole health, my whole self be better. And then I know I shared the story before, but this is so helpful. I remember in 2022, I set a goal to run a 10K and I put it on my vision board. No.
I put a 10K financial goal on my vision board. I wanted to make 10K and then I was like, I just need to be more healthy. So I set a goal to run a 10K and didn't even cross my mind that it was like the same number and the same way of saying it. And it's 10 kilometers, 10,000, but it was 10K on my vision board. And I'm not good at running. Running a 10K took a lot of training and work for me, but I did it.
and that same month I made 10k. I don't think that was a coincidence that aligning my health myself, which I like I said running actually served me mentally and emotionally and physically. That's when I made more money in my business and I even called it a business goal because I could see that I wasn't doing well myself in my health. So setting that goal helped me show up so much differently in my business to hit that goal I'd had.
and also emotional. I think knowing your own emotions and being aware of those is so helpful to showing up in your business and coaching. I will find all the time that people are running away from disappointment or failure or fear or anxiety and they're not doing what they want to do in their business because of emotions and it sounds
almost silly like no that couldn't be it. It's bigger things. It's out of my control. But if we really lean into learning and processing our emotions, connecting with ourselves physically and seeing the emotions in our body and knowing that they're just vibrations, they don't hurt us. But they're there and we are afraid of them. It creates a...
fight-or-flight response when we're having them and learning how to recognize them, work with them, feel them, getting out of our head and really seeing it in our body as a sensation. This is the kind of work I do personally every day, love to teach clients how to do because this is how you can then show up in your business and life. It is fundamental to your own experience of
being aware and taking care of yourself with these three things. I also think relationships are important. Your relationship with yourself, of course, is the first and most pivotal relationship in your life. But how are your relationships going in your life with your kids, your husband, your family, your friends? Having relationships be in a good place helps you show up for business, always.
And so giving yourself space and taking care of those things and not only caring about business will actually help your business do better. This is the holistic way. This is the full whole wealth way. It is not just about money. It is not just about how well your business is doing. It's how you are doing that helps your business do well.
And this is how we prevent the burnout, the scarcity, the hustle that builds a business that you then have to quit. That builds a business that's wildly successful and that you can't maintain because you're not okay.
by first looking at yourself and making that your priority as you build your business. We're reversing the typical way of building a business and instead of building a business so quickly and forcefully that you're not okay that you then have to retract and change things so that you can maintain it, we're building yourself up to build the business so that it is sustainable the whole time. This.
is a game changer for feeling good as you build a business and using that as fuel for the business instead of being scrappy and graspy and scared all the time. We get to feel secure in ourselves. Confidence from the inside out, feeling safe and well in our bodies, in our lives because we are taking care of this inner triangle of ourselves gives you so much power.
so much power in your business to then work on the other two as well. Because the second part is your skill. And I think a lot of people love to get new certifications, new trainings, which is beautiful. Do that if that's what serves you. I love to read and learn from other coaches, invest in my skills as a coach and...
Also practicing, like doing what you do builds your skill, but seeing it that way and saying, I am always getting better at this every single day and looking at your calendar and how much time are you getting to that? How much experience are you getting and getting better at it and recognizing I don't have to be perfect at it to start, but I have to keep learning and getting better. And so
I kind of said this earlier, but mastery is really learning how to get better at things. And so making sure you're giving yourself time to work on this, get better at this, learn new things.
from books, from other coaches, other teachers, certifications, programs. This helps you know that you're always getting better and that you're giving time and energy to it because how can you sell something that you're not good at? How can you give results if it's not something you're developing? if...
you're fake, which I know you're not if you listen to this. I don't talk to those kind of people. Those people don't follow me. But if you were fake and selling a fake product, you wouldn't care about that. So the fact that you do care about it shows that you are getting better at it. You are mastering it and it is an importance in your trifecta of having a successful business.
And then the last point is your actual business and learning how to show up, how to market, how to sell, how to create an offer, how to have something that people want and need and are willing to pay for, something you love, something that you enjoy talking about, something you're good at. All of this gives you offers that people want and will buy.
and then knowing how you want to market it. Do you want to use Instagram? Do you want to use ads? Do you want to use a different platform like Facebook or LinkedIn? Or do you want to do a podcast yourself? Do you want to have newsletters? Are you really good at reading and blogging? Finding your aligned way to market and let people know that you have something that they want that will serve them. This is the basic principles of marketing that I just said there and
people get so caught up in what other people are doing, the right way to do it. And I promise you, everyone has done it a million different ways. So leaning into who you are and how you want to let people know this is my offer, this is what I do, this is how you can have it. Let me show you some of it. That is what marketing and sales is in a nutshell.
and learning what you want to do, getting better at it, growing in your skills of sharing with people, having fun doing it, getting out of your comfort zone, all of that is part of the business and all of that is important. And so looking at this trifecta and looking at your calendar and seeing, am I giving time to all three to run this business and make it work, to make it successful?
You can do just the business part. Many people have. I'm not saying you can't just do that to grow a business. But is it sustainable? Will you be able to run it long term? Will you enjoy doing it? Will you burn out?
That's your choice of how you want to do it. And I have seen for myself that by having this trifecta of power in a business for success with myself at the top, but always working on my business and growing that the actual marketing and sales and then also the skill or the trade that you have and getting better at that.
makes it so much more sustainable and more effortless in growing. And that is what I always, always promising that I will help you grow your business in an effortless way. And a disclaimer with effortless does not mean you're not working. What I just said sounds like a lot of work. You're doing things. But because you're in the energy of taking care of yourself first,
Like I said, when I ran that 10K, it was effortless to the point that I didn't even realize or connect that, oh yeah, I 10K this month and I ran a 10K. It was so cool to see that after, because it was effortless, because I was taking care of myself. And I found something as simple as training for and participating in a 10K race that did help my own self with.
mental, emotional, and physical health, so it did give me lot of energy to show up for my business. Now, is it effortless to run a 10K? Of course not.
But because of the energy I gave to it and seeing what good it was doing for me, I didn't have to fight against myself and I didn't have any of the internal battle of like, why am I doing this? This is stupid. It's too much work. Like I just did it and I would go every other day. That's the way I was taught to train was training every other day. And I was even waking up at like 5 a.m. to do it because it was the only time in my day I could do it consistently, but it still felt effortless.
So feel that what that really means.
and taking care of yourself like that gives you that effortless energy to give to your business and find the marketing method that works for you. You do not have to have a podcast. I have a client that says she hates podcasts and never listens to them. So I could say this on here because she won't hear it. But she's like, I just like watching videos on YouTube better. Great. Guess where she's marketing? YouTube. She doesn't have a podcast. She is more aligned with YouTube. And that's beautiful. That's a great way to market.
There are different platforms, different methods. Some people swear that their way is the only way and I have seen so many people do it different ways. So finding your way and getting really good at it and loving it, that makes it more effortless because it is aligned with you.
I am the opposite. love podcasts. This is one of my favorite ways of marketing and seeing it as a free service I get to give people get to experience me see what it's like to talk to me. It just makes it fun and effortless for me to see it that way and it's something that I love. And then always making sure you're growing in your skill. How are you mastering what you do getting better?
and could even just be doing it, but seeing that as a way that you're working on the skill helps you to see that you have this power trifecta of success and that you are going to do it in a sustainable way, an effortless way and build the business that fits your life that you love that works.
